Well, ok I didn't manage to exercise everyday, but we've been pretty hardworking I guess. We've been to Bukit Batok Nature Reserve and walked up and down some steep incline + stairs, following which I felt disabled for the next 4 days.
Then there was the 100 storey stair climb on some Marine Parade HDB block. Yikes.
The HSBC Treetop walk was quite easy, except that I stupidly didn't wear proper socks and ended up with blisters which looked like I was into S&M. I've never had blisters that big in my life.
And of course we did the Bukit Timah Nature Reserve. That was a real bitch.
All with a 15kg loaded backpack full of old newspapers.
So I'm hoping at least I won't die in Nepal.
Shopping was another bitch. I think I must have spent more on buying things than on my Nepal airfare. Timberland boots - $150. Timberland Goretex jacket - $150. Various dri-fit items - $250 (Nike you are a bloodsucker). Socks - $40. (OMG HOW CAN SOCKS BLOODY COST $40?!!?!?!?) Batteries. Wet wipes. etc etc. I'm exhausted just driving around. I don't know how women can make shopping a national pasttime. I'm exhausted just walking in and out of the changing rooms and roaming from shop to shop. To think some make it a day's outing doing this.
The plus side is discovering a whole new slew of places to visit on weekends and to buy stuff. Bukit Timah is rather fun I think. But going to stuff your face at Valentino's thereafter completely negates any of the health benefits.
So, with a few more days left to go, I guess I'm not really prepared but oh well, it's the adventure, and after all, we did give double the allowance to reach our destination.
All that's left is to pack, and to finish up work at the office.

I've got a bitch of a blister on each leg since i was stupid enough last week to go on a 10km hike in new boots without proper socks. It took a mere 1.5 km for the blisters to start, and the rest of the way was just me yelping in pain.
What can I say, I'm dumb and deserve it?
I've had to undertake the role of the Oracle at work, since I'm like the point of reference for all these newbies. I have to answer all their boring questions. Oh, the pain. Gave them all a 1.5 hour lecture at 11 pm which they lapped up. boy, I might make a professor yet!
Job sucks at present, however, it pays the bills and funds my next new car. I'm thinking of a Mercedes B170 or VW Jetta 1.4TSI. Or VW Golf.

Vista
My mom brought her laptop down. It's a swanky new Vaio. Unfortunately it uses Vista. Boy I hate it. Why is it so cluttered?!???!? The start menu is so incredibly unfriendly. And it has like things all over the screen.
Man, gimme WinXP anyday.
